OpenTopography updates: enhanced site search, increased limits, USIEI

OpenTopography is pleased to announce the release of a number of updates and improvements to the OpenTopography system. This release adds several new features to enhance data discovery, processing, and site usability.

NSF NEON Short Course: Topographic, Geomorphic, and Vegetation Analysis with Lidar

OpenTopography, in collaboration with the Boise State University Boise Center Aerospace Lab (BCAL) and NEON, will be teaching a short course this fall on Topographic, Geomorphic, and Vegetation Analysis with Lidar. This workshop is part of a series of NSF/NEON supported training on the use of datasets from the NEON Airborne Observing Platform to enable new discoveries in the biophysical research community.

OpenTopography at the 2015 American Geophysical Meeting

Come connect with OpenTopography at the 2015 American Geophysical Union meeting in San Francisco! OpenTopography will be in booth #211 on "NSF Street" in the exhibit hall. The booth is shared with the National Center for Laser Mapping (NCALM). Our booth is staffed by the OpenTopography team and community members, and is a great chance to ask questions, provide feedback, or discuss lidar, high resolution topography, or cyberinfrastructure.

Raster data now available for areas in California, Colorado, New Hampshire, and Washington

OpenTopography is happy to announce the release of seven new raster datasets. These datasets are derived from previously released point cloud data, and allow users to quickly and easily access high resolution digital elevation models.
