Two new NCALM datasets over Alaska now available

Two new NCALM (National Center for Airborne Laser Mapping) seed datasets are now available from OpenTopography. The dataset, "Monitoring the Mass Balance of Eklutna Glacier, AK 2023" was collected for Caroline Brisbois at the Institute of Culture & Environment, Alaska Pacific University and aims to compare lidar versus structure from motion photogrammetry for monitoring the geodetic mass balance of the Eklutna Glacier east of Anchorage, Alaska.

Introducing OT+ (OpenTopography Plus)

OpenTopography is happy to announce a new subscription-based program (OT+) to enable access to our platform of user-friendly services applied to high resolution lidar topography data covering the vast majority of the US’s lower 48, Hawaii, and territories.

Seven new and updated New Zealand lidar datasets available

Five new, and two updated Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) datasets are now available through OpenTopography. These datasets are available through an ongoing collaboration between OpenTopography and LINZ as part of the LINZ National Elevation Program. These datasets collectively add over 18,000 km2 of high resolution topographic data over New Zealand (see areas in red on map below).

New Waikato, Canterbury, and Manawatu - Whanganui, New Zealand Lidar Data

Three new Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) datasets are now available through OpenTopography. These datasets are available through an ongoing collaboration between OpenTopography and LINZ that makes OpenTopography the primary distribution platform for point cloud data collected as part of the LINZ National Elevation Program. These new datasets collectively add over 9,300 km2 of high resolution topographic data (see areas in red in figure below).
