Updated Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) datasets covering portions of the South Island are now available through OpenTopography. The dataset, "Canterbury, New Zealand 2020-2023" and "Southland, New Zealand 2020-2024" have each had addendums added to their respective collections.
The most recent version of the Copernicus Digital Surface Model (DSM) is now available via OpenTopography. As of July 23rd 2024, OpenTopography is supplying the DGED 2023_1 version of the European Space Agency (ESA) Copernicus GLO-30 and GLO-90 DSMs.
Three new NCALM (National Center for Airborne Laser Mapping) seed datasets covering portions of Texas, Arkansas, and Idaho are now available from OpenTopography. The dataset, Characterizing Alluvial Channel Bank Erosion with Lidar, TX 2023 was collected for Mariel Nelson at the University of Texas to help characterize alluvial channel bank erosion along the Trinity River near Houston, TX.
The Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) dataset, Waikato, New Zealand 2021, has been updated with additional data. This dataset now contains over 270 billion lidar points and covers roughly 25,000 km2, making it one of the larger datasets in the OpenTopography catalog. This dataset is available through an ongoing collaboration between OpenTopography and LINZ as part of the LINZ National Elevation Program.
Two new NCALM (National Center for Airborne Laser Mapping) seed datasets are now available from OpenTopography. The dataset, "Monitoring the Mass Balance of Eklutna Glacier, AK 2023" was collected for Caroline Brisbois at the Institute of Culture & Environment, Alaska Pacific University and aims to compare lidar versus structure from motion photogrammetry for monitoring the geodetic mass balance of the Eklutna Glacier east of Anchorage, Alaska.

OpenTopography is now providing access to the GEBCO_2023 global bathymetry and topography dataset. This dataset is produced as part of the Seabed 2030 project, which is a collaborative project between the Nippon Foundation of Japan and GEBCO. The GEBCO_2023 grid is a continuous, global terrain model for ocean and land with a spatial resolution of 15 arc seconds.
