OpenTopography at the 2022 AGIC Education and Training Symposium

Aug 29, 2022

OpenTopography will be at the Arizona Geographic Information Council (AGIC) Education and Training Symposium in Prescott, AZ this week. Be sure to stop by the OpenTopography booth to say hello and learn more about about the topography data access and services that OpenTopography provides!

As part of this year's AGIC meeting, OpenTopography will be running a half day short course, "Intro to Lidar, Data Access, and Processing with OpenTopography" on Wednesday, August. 31 at 1:30 pm MST. (Capacity currently full, waitlist available.) This hands-on session will provide an introduction to airborne lidar technology and how to use OpenTopography to process and examine different attributes of point clouds, construct raster DEMs, and perform topographic differencing on multi-temporal datasets to examine landscape change. Find OpenTopography's previous workshops and short courses here.

OpenTopography team members will also be presenting talks at the AGIC Meeting. Dr. Chelsea Scott will present "OpenTopography and Topographic Differencing" on Tuesday, August 30 (1:30-3:00 pm MST), and Dr. Emily Zawacki will present "Creating 3D Prints from Lidar Topography" on Thursday, September 1 (8:30-10:00 am MST).
