New LINZ dataset of Taranaki, New Zealand now available

A new lidar dataset covering approximately 165 km2 of the Taranaki region in New Zealand is now available on OpenTopography. Data covers New Plymouth, Stratford, Ōpunake, Hāwera, Inglewood, Ōakura, Waverly, and the surrounding area. This dataset has a point density of 13.85 pts/m2 and was captured in 2021 for the Taranaki Regional Council by AAM Ltd, with data management and distribution by Toitū Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand. This dataset is available through an ongoing collaboration between OpenTopography and LINZ that makes OpenTopography the primary distribution platform for point cloud data collected as part of the LINZ national elevation program.
