OpenTopography is pleased to announce the release of four new lidar datasets covering about 1,790 km2 of the north coast of New Zealand's South Island: Blenheim, the Wairau valley region, and lower Awatere river corridor; Golden Bay, including Aorere Extension, Farewell Spit, Lee Dam, and St. Arnaud; Abel Tasman and Golden Bay; and Richmond and Motueka. The data were collected by AAM and New Zealand Aerial Mapping for the Tasman and Marlborough District Councils, respectively, and were provided to OpenTopography by Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) as part of an ongoing collaboration that makes OpenTopography the primary distribution platform for LINZ point cloud data.
